Boiler Water Treatment.
Scale and corrosion control, feedwater and deaerator chemistry, and blowdown control that keep Ohio steam systems efficient, safe, and online.
Hard Water and Oxygen Are Hard on Boilers
Hard water leaves scale on the heat-transfer surfaces inside a boiler. Dissolved oxygen pits and corrodes the metal. Both waste fuel, cut efficiency, and shorten tube life, and on a steam system a tube failure usually means the whole plant stops.
We build the program around your actual feedwater chemistry, not a generic dosing chart. That starts with conditioning the makeup water and running the deaerator right, then internal treatment, oxygen scavenging, and blowdown control set to how your boiler really runs.
“A properly operating DA is critical to the longevity of any steam system.”
A Complete Boiler Program
From the makeup water to the condensate return, every part of the steam loop treated as one program.
Feedwater & Makeup Conditioning
Condition the makeup and feedwater before it reaches the boiler so you are not fighting hardness and scale downstream.
Deaerator (DA) Tuning
Get the DA stripping oxygen mechanically before the chemistry has to. It is one of the biggest factors in how long a steam system lasts.
Internal Treatment
Scale and sludge control inside the boiler to keep heat-transfer surfaces clean and the system efficient.
Oxygen Scavenging & Corrosion Control
Chemical oxygen scavenging and corrosion control to protect the boiler metal and the steam side.
Blowdown & Conductivity Control
Blowdown and conductivity control, including Advantage Controls blowdown packages, to hold cycles where they belong without wasting energy.
Condensate & Return Line Protection
Treat the condensate and return lines so corrosion does not eat the piping and carry back into the boiler.
SOLIDified Solid Chemistry
Run the program on SOLIDified solid chemistry: consistent dosing with no hazardous liquid drums to store, handle, or spill.
Automated Feed & Monitoring
Automated chemical feed and monitoring so the program runs the same between service visits, not just on the day we are there.
The Boiler Products We Run
A full boiler line, matched to your pressure, your makeup water, and the way the plant runs.
-
Oxygen Scavengers, Volatile and Inorganic
We run both. Volatile scavengers carry through the steam to protect the condensate, and inorganic scavengers hold the feedwater and the boiler. The right one depends on your pressure and your layout.
-
Precipitating & Sequestering Programs
Internal scale and sludge control, run as an All-Polymer, Coordinated pH/Phosphate, or All-Volatile program. We pick the one that fits your pressure and feedwater, whether it precipitates the hardness or holds it in solution.
-
Neutralizing & Filming Amines
Amine programs protect the condensate and return lines: neutralizing amines bring the pH back up, while filming amines lay a barrier on the metal. Most systems run a blend of the two.
-
Organic Passivators
We add organic passivators so the waterside metal builds a stable oxide layer instead of shedding iron back into the boiler.
-
Off-Line & On-Line Cleanup
Cleanup for a fouled or new boiler, run off-line or on-line. A boil-out clears scale, oil, and mill debris so the program starts on clean metal instead of years of buildup.
-
Ion Exchange Resin & Resin Cleaners
Replacement ion exchange resin for dealkalizers and boiler feedwater units, plus the cleaners that bring fouled resin back. Clean feedwater keeps the boiler program from working uphill.
Smaller Footprint, Cleaner Room
A boiler feed and treatment install at an Ohio food plant; the new system replaced the old day tanks and freed up floor space.
